Duplicate cheap tools rather than share them across locations — a second broom that lives poolside costs little and saves a trip every turnover forever. The test of good staging: you can complete the entire reset without entering your garage or house except for the bathroom pass.

The 15-minute sequence

The core of the system is a fixed order, run the same way every time. The logic: start the slow chemical work first so it proceeds while you do everything else, and end at the entrance so your last view is the guest's first view.

Minutes 0–3 — Water first. Skim visible debris, check the skimmer baskets, and test the water. If chemistry needs routine adjustment, dose now (following product directions) so circulation works while you clean. Confirm clarity — you should clearly see the pool bottom. Minutes 3–7 — Deck and furniture. One directional lap around the pool area: straighten loungers and chairs into your standard layout (photograph your ideal layout once; it becomes the spec), wipe tables, collect trash into the bag you're carrying, sweep or blow debris from the main deck path. Directional matters — one loop, no backtracking.

Minutes 7–10 — Bathroom and touchpoints. Wipe the bathroom surfaces, check supplies, empty its trash. Hit the high-touch points guests actually notice: gate latch, door handles, tabletops.

Minutes 10–13 — Amenity reset. Towels replaced, floats corralled into their bin, games and welcome items restocked, umbrellas positioned. This is also your damage-scan pass: you're touching everything, so you'll notice the wobbly chair or torn float now — not from a guest's message later.

Minutes 13–15 — The guest-eyes final pass. Walk in through the guest entrance and see the space as the next group will: sightline to the water, deck, seating. Retest/glance at water clarity. Fix the one thing that's off. Done.

Quality control: fast must never mean sloppy

Average reset time. Time yourself weekly, not obsessively.
